Congrats to Pat!!!

Beginning July 8th, Pat will be working at Wells Fargo as a mortgage consultant!!! After numerous meetings and different interviews, Pat got the job this morning!!! He will be working on the same team as the two individuals who helped us out with our mortgage at the briarcliff location!!!! How nice to come back from Vegas and make back all the money we'll blow out there!!! =)

Congratulations Patrick!! All of your hard work and perseverance paid off!! I love you so much!!! Mwah!!

Nick & Erica have been dating since senior year of high school. After attending separate colleges, transferring to the same college, and then living in separate states they are finally together! It was a beautiful wedding!! I am so proud to have had the privilege of being the maid of honor!! I attached my speech from the reception because it was overwhelming to write and to give!!! It sums up everything that I wanted to say!!

"As little girls growing up, Erica & I were 2 peas in a pod. We knew everything about one another. We planned our weddings, careers and even class schedules together. So it’s no surprise that I knew her favorite color, her favorite song, and even her favorite Backstreet Boy.

Her taste in men has changed over the years, the gown has gotten more detailed, the color of the bridesmaids dresses more pink, and the ring more specific. But today I stand here knowing that this wedding is exactly what she wanted & that Nick is exactly who it should be with!!

Since our senior year of high school we have dreamed about her wedding to Nick. As they continued to date throughout college & spend more and more time together, gradually Nick assumed the role more and more of knowing her favorites and her hopes & dreams. I have not lost my best friend but gained a brother to help me figure her out!!

Erica, over the years the details have changed, but now that wonderful dream of walking down the aisle to your true love has come true. Congratulations to Nick & Erica!! May you spend the rest of your lives fulfilling each others dreams!!!"

Finally purchased a grill!!

I have been born and raised on grilled food and not having a grill has been torture!! Pat and I have been looking for a good year and finally found one today!! We got a really good deal!! I am so excited!! Now I have a week off of work and I can grill out all week!!! Yummy!!! :)

the clock is ticking!!!

My sister's wedding is in 8 days!!! The final preparations are getting done!! I'm excited, my dress fits perfectly, I LOVE my shoes!! I'm ready!!
Other than that our lives have been pretty steady with daily chores and enjoying the weather by heading to the pool!! Pat might end the summer with a tan this year!!!
We are waiting to hear from Wells Fargo about a business proposal that was sent in!! Hopefully, we'll hear something by Friday!!!
1 month till Vegas!!! I can't wait!! I'm already shopping for clothes :)!! I really need a break from work and the wedding doesn't really consist as a vacation!! The countdown begins!!!!

The wells fargo job didn't pan out. I guess they had offered the other applicant the job before they had interviewed pat?? Whatever... now they want to make a position for him because they liked him so much!! I'm trying to see the light at the end of the tunnel but its just frustrating!!!
**NOTE to everyone reading this, if you or your spouse is in jeporady of loosing their job just quit spending money now!!! We would never had made it this far if we hadn't saved thousands of dollars!! I'm proud to say that we planned ahead for everything!!! :)
Either way you just feel like your life is on hold!! I hate waiting to hear from these companies!! You can't make any long term plans!! I'm just having an off day I guess!!

Pat was a lucky man this week!! He received a phone call from our mortgage broker, Ron, with Wells Fargo regarding a temporary to full time position. He went to the interview today and said that it went VERY well!!! He spoke with Ron later in the day and discussed pay and hours. Unfortunately, the temporary position is only for 30 hours a week but anything would be better than the current unemployment!! Right now we are discussing his current benefits and whether his COBRA will last until he would be hired full time. The temp position has the potential to last 6 months to a year, without benefits. If we were married, I could get him on mine!! ;) They are considering one other applicant, so we'll see how it turns out!! Keep ya posted!!
