update!!!

Well, I took my mom to the neurosurgeon yesterday and everything looked good!! Thank god I took the night off on Sunday b/c we left the house at 11 and got her home at 3:30!!! I was a long day of doctor's office, xrays and back to the doctors office!! Then lunch :)!! I took her to five guys, she had never been and I'm addicted!!! :)

Sunday we received a phone call from Pat's family. They are all down in Columbia with Laura. She's been having contractions and has been hospitalized to stop them!! The baby's doing great otherwise!! Hopefully, she can hold off till her due date in January but no one will be disappointed otherwise b/c we all desperately want to meet him/her!!! It's driving me crazy not knowing the sex of the baby!!! I keep seeing stuff I want to buy and can't!!! I just don't like the unisex stuff as much!! :) Please everyone keep her and Dan in your prayers that they have a safe and uneventful full term pregnancy!!thanks!

Anyway, just trying to get stuff done around the house!! blah!!! I think today Pat and I are going to do some shopping!! I really want to go use that gift card at Mazzarese Jewelry!!! That 2 grand has been burning in my pocket!!! Working 4 days a week every week I just haven't found the time to make it out there!!! Hopefully I'll have some jewelry pics to post later!!! For now the pets are good and crazy as usual!!! & Pat is making me breakfast as I write this!!!

More family wrecks and the finished paint job!!

Unfortunately, my mom was in a car accident yesterday with all of this terrible rain!! She was rear ended over on 64th st. The car is still drivable but shes a little torn up!! My sister and I had to take her to the emergency room yesterday evening. She has a history of discs slipping in her neck and the idea of whiplash went against my better judgement!! Shes okay, just can't seem to get comfortable. She has a doctors appointment today with her neurosurgeon, so we'll have to see what he says. Please keep her in your prayers over the next couple of days! thanks
My uncle was in a car accident just the other day on 169Hwy!! A rental car hit him and spun him around, continued to drive until they abandoned the car b/c it was on fire!! We're still waiting to hear about that one!!! Please everyone drive safely and have your cell phones on you at all times!!!

Yay!!! Finally done painting the walls in the bedroom!!! At this point there could be major goofs and we wouldn't care!!! Pat got the ceiling painted last night!! I couldn't reach it!!! I got some stuff up this morning just to put some pics on here!! It was REALLY dark last night!!! I can't wait to take a nap later today and see how it is!!! I still have some decorating to do and as you can see, I had to make the bed around Dexter b/c he is sleeping in today!! :) Anyway, we are contemplating painting some of the other rooms, its just that the ceilings are so high in most of them that it would take a couple of days and we are only off 1 day a week together!! We'll figure something out!!! Hope everyone is doing well!!!

construction zone!!!

Okay, well we finally decided to do some painting and putting in fixtures and such!!! We were planning on painting our bedroom yesterday together but patrick got called into work, so I got it started and my sister came to the rescue with her expert painting skills!!! Between Pat, myself and Erica we were able to finish all but the ceiling last night!! Unfortunately, that meant not sleeping in our own bed over night!! Let me just say that Patrick and puppy take up 80% of a full size bed!!! Haha!! It really was miserable!! In the evening we managed to get together with our landscaper friend to pick out some rock and shrubs for the front yard!!! It will be nice to have the current holes filled in the front yard!!! I am amazed and the things we accomplished this week!! I hate this weather!!! It makes you not want to even get out of bed in the morning!!! I have a feeling we'll be planning our next vacation soon!!!! :)
We're painting the bedroom a chocolate brown!! I don't think I'll be coming off of nights anytime soon and anyone who has slept during the day understands my excitement!!!!


Puppy got a bath the other day and he looks so tiny in such a large tub!!! Hes soft and fuzzy afterwards!!!

Busy, Busy, Busy!!!

Wow, time is flying by lately!!! Pat & I just the other night celebrated living in the house for a whole month!!! I haven't updated the blog in a while. I finally purchased some furniture for the living room, still in search of some sort of tv cabinet!! We still have yet to agree on a dining room table!! Haha!! I hope we can soon b/c I am so sick of the lawn chairs and tv trays!!! :) Coming up we'll be doing some painting and hopefully getting some stuff on these bare walls!! Everything echos like crazy and Pat keep threatening to buy a Bose stereo system!!(as long as I'm not sleeping, I don't mind!!) The other day, Pat had to get a haircut and I went into Sears- keep me out of the appliance section from now on b/c I bought another refrigerator for the garage!! Haha, he was really excited though!! :)
All the pets are good, the kitties got a new jungle gym, thanks Aunt Erica!!! :) They go crazy over that thing!!! Its hilarious to watch!!
Anyway, work has been extremely busy lately. We kicked off a new pilot with a rapid response team member from the units to triage patients throughout the hospital in order to prevent code blues!!! I had the pleasure of doing that all weekend last week. Sure does make the night pass slow when nothing is going on, but I have a feeling it will further feed my adrenaline addiction!!!
We are sending out invites today for the housewarming party!! I had some trouble planning this one!!! I have no more weekends off and actually had to sign up for a class in order to get a sunday night off!!! Hope everyone is doing well!!!

Stockton!!!

We finally made it down to Stockton, MO to visit with Patrick's grandparents, Tom & Leone, and stay with his Uncle Steve & Kelly. It was, hands down, the best trip we have been on in awhile!! We slept in every morning, ate excellent food, golfed everyday, went cruising in the boat around the lake and spent our evenings in the hot tub!!! To be honest, I didn't want to leave!!! I loved every minute!!! I can't believe we haven't been down there sooner!! :) The weather was fantastic for late September!!
As usual, Dexter was spoiled the entire time!!! He's such a little lap baby!!! He actually did really well on the boat too!!! I tubed the day away, which was fine with Pat b/c that allowed him to just drive the boat around!!! Yes, we BOTH have boat fever now!!! Before, it was just me, now Pat wants one too and a hot tub!!! We just got home this evening and are getting settled in and unpacked but here are a few pics! ENJOY!!

Dex's new hair cut!!!

Yesterday, Dexie got a haircut!! Finally!!! I posted a before and after. He's so funny and always does so well at the groomers, they love him!! It's shorter than we are used to but his hair grows so fast that you can't even get upset about it. :) It is so fun to see the pets find new spaces to lounge in this house, Cooper now hangs out in the kitchen behind the sink!! Dexter today got to play with his best friend and girlfriend, Ginger, and her mom Andrea. They are our former neighbors at the apartment, who now live just a hop, skip and a jump away down barry road! We swear that the puppies are meant for each other and that they should get married!! They had a blast and it gave us a chance to catch up!!! Dex didn't want to leave, I had to pick him up and carry him to the car!!! :( Dexie and Gingie, best friends for life!!!

Tonight, Pat and I got a chance to celebrate his birthday at a Jerry Seinfeld comedy show at the Midland Theatre!! Center stage, no one in front of us, in the 12th row!!! The best ever!!! I laughed so hard I literally almost peed my pants!! It was so funny that I am not even slightly embarrassed to share that!!! Pat said it was the best birthday present ever!!! and I would have to agree!!!

Mowing the lawn!!!

Pat mowed the lawn for the first time today!!! We both love the new lawn mower!!! Some of our trees are a little too low for 6 foot 4 Patrick!!! Haha!!! Dexter and the kitties took turns watching out the front door. It was so cute!! Overall, he did a great job!! Only took 45mins!! Unfortunately, when he was done we found out that we had no hot water and he had to take a cold shower!!! :) Oops! We're getting the gas turned on tomorrow. That's all for now, just getting stuff up on the walls and off of the floor!!!
